Description (41) images, taken in Merkel and Wichita Falls (Texas), and Lawton (Oklahoma).

In addition are (3) photo albums; individual images not accessioned. The images on the whole are family and school portraits from the 20th century. Also there are some views of the Tipton family store and business in Merkel. Partial family tree constructed. Donor works for the Lawton Constitution.

FAMILY HISTORY:
Beulah was born Jan. 4, 1882 in Walnut Springs, Texas. She married John F. Tipton in Merkel, Texas (John died on Nov. 29, 1920). Mrs. Tipton worked for several years for the Lawton Morning Press. She lived with her daughter, Mrs. Billie June Creswell in Lawton. There were two other children, Charles (who lived in Kansas) and Genevieve, who died when she was 23 years old. At the time of Beulah's death, in 1970, she was a great grandmother.
