Description (50) images, with negatives and contacts.
These images concern law enforcement: (24) weapons, (1) pair of leg-irons, (1) pair of handcuffs, and (1)neck chain. In addition are (21) letters, most written by Fred E. Sutton concerning the weapons. There are also (2) posters. The loan was originally presented to the Museum by Gordon and Elisabeth Engeler; then photographed by Steve Wilson.

The collection of weapons were originally put together by Fred E. Sutton between 1900-1929. Sutton lived in Kansas City, Missouri. He was a US marshall in I.T. before Oklahoma became a state. Most of the letters in the collection are addressed to R.C. Jenkins, another collector and historian.
